Permit & Escort Coordinator

Trans-United, Inc. has an immediate opening in our Operations Department. Duties would include the coordination of Overdimensional/Overweight permits and the coordination of escorts as required by the permits. This position answers to the Specialized Department Manager and is responsible for the relationships with the permit services and the insurance that each truck is in compliance with authorities. Permits and other required documents or services must be accurate and on time to insure that services are not delayed and revenue goals are maintained and exceeded. Qualifications include: a strong team player, Operations experience and knowledge in flat bed, specialized and over-dimensional freight a plus, must be detail oriented, strong communication skills and the ability to function in a fast paced environment. Proficient typing and computer skills are a must.

Director of Operations

Trans-United, Inc. is seeking a Director of Operations. The company has had significant growth in the last 2 years and has strong projections for the future. The primary function is to oversee all aspects of Operations without the active involvement of the President. The secondary function is to provide the necessary supervisory leadership to plan, organize, direct, coordinate and control the activities of all personnel reporting to this position and thus insuring the business operates within the financial guidelines determined by the President. This position reports directly to the President and has the authority over all Operations Personnel, Drivers and Agents activities related to Operations. Experience and knowledge in open trailer, specialized and over-dimensional freight a plus, must be detail oriented, strong communication skills and the ability to function in a fast paced environment. Proficient typing and computer skills are a must.

Duties would include generating leads for potential customers and maintaining current customer relationships, working with the Operations to achieve customer satisfaction and revenue generation. Qualifications include, previous Sales experience in open trailer transportation, knowledge of Overdimensional/Overweight freight, a strong team player. Must be detail oriented, strong communication skills and the ability to function in a fast paced environment. Proficient typing and computer skills are a must.
