Trans-United Superload driver Art Cook bob tailed his tractor with Indiana State Troopers in the cab to assist in a crack down on distracted driving, especially cell phone use.

This initiative resulted in 39 warnings and 28 tickets written. It is not about producing tickets that cost people money, rather to create a safer environment for all people on the road. As a professional truck driver one of the scariest parts of being on the road is the passenger vehicles around you that are on a cell phone, eating, doing make up on the way to work, or just driving erratically.

No matter who is at fault on the road the professional truck driver is always more scrutinized because a bad driving record can end their career.
